Terms of Use
You may use Filific to share files that are legal and that you have the right to share. We can remove any file that breaks these terms, and the service comes with no guarantee.
1. The service
Filific lets you upload files and share them with a link. It is free. Links expire after the period you choose, and the files are then deleted. We may change the service, its limits or these terms; changes apply from the date shown at the bottom of this page.
2. What you may not share
You must not use Filific to upload or share:
- malware, viruses or anything else designed to harm devices or data;
- phishing pages, scams, or anything meant to trick people into giving away passwords, money or personal data;
- child sexual abuse material, which we report to the relevant authorities;
- content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- content that harasses or threatens people, or exposes their private information;
- anything else that is illegal.
You must not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, for example by automating uploads or downloads, or by using Filific to host files for a website or an app.
3. Your files and your responsibility
You keep all rights to your files. You give us only the permission we need to store them and to deliver them to people who have the link, until the link ends. You are responsible for the files you share and for who you give the link to.
4. Accounts
Accounts are optional and free. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is uploaded from your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. To delete your account, write to us from its email address.
5. Downloading files
We do not check or scan the files people upload. Download files only from people you trust, and treat every file with the care you would give an email attachment from a stranger.
6. Removal and reports
We may remove files and disable links at any time and without notice if we believe they break these terms or the law, or put the service or its users at risk. To report a link, use the report form. For a copyright complaint, include the link, the work you own and your contact details, and confirm that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
7. No guarantee
Filific is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be available, that every upload will succeed, or that files will be kept until their link expires. Do not use Filific as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using Filific, including lost files, lost data, or harm caused by files that other people share.
